Travis Blackwell has worked in stage management for theatre, opera, dance, and events across the globe. He is currently the Deputy Stage Manager for the International tour of Hamilton.
Theater: Hamilton (Toronto, San Francisco, And Peggy Tour, Angelica Tour, Puerto Rico engagement starring Lin-Manuel Miranda). Other Tours: The Bodyguard, The Color Purple. NYC/Regional: Oklahoma! (St. Ann’s Warehouse), The Slow Room (Annie Dorsen/PS122), Weston Playhouse, Lost National Theater, Orpheum Theater-Memphis.

Music/Opera experience includes the world premiere of David Lang’s the loser at BAM, Kaija Saariaho’s Circle Map and Peter Seller's dance epic FLEXN REVOLUTION at the Park Avenue Armory, new productions of Candide, The Magic Flute, and Odyssey for The Glimmerglass Festival, and mountings of the Bang on a Can All Stars' Road Trip in Los Angeles and New York City. Travis has also stage managed operas for a number of educational institutions including Manhattan School of Music, and The Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music.

His event experience includes galas, festivals, and special occasions featuring talent ranging from Cirque du Soleil to Renée Fleming.
As a guest artist and adjunct professor, Travis has been fortunate to teach SM workshops, classes, and serve as speaker at a number of institutions. He holds a BFA from the University of Memphis and is currently working towards his MFA from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM).
